Speaking Up outreach seminar:
There's a time to verbally share the Good News about Jesus. We don't know what response may be triggered in our hearers - good, bad, ugly. But Jesus calls us to accept this as part of the task (Mat5.) The persecuted church shares more to participate with Jesus and see what he does. Asking Jesus to flow through me to do it, is way better than trying to do it myself.
Sometimes these tools can help me find the words:
1) POWER-BOP bookmark:
Side 1: POWER for personal time alone with God. Prepare - Prayer-Care-Share... Release or Read? Includes the Daisy and Wheel from myfriends - to gather a small group for Discovery Bible Study, see BOP...
Side 2: BOP (Bookmark Of Power) for leading a small group Discovery Bible Study. (The person with the Bookmark has the Power to ask the questions and keep the group on track.) Includes graphics about Core Beliefs and Core Practices of following Jesus.
2) HOPE card conversations, for new conversations.
Different Doubts:
Mental? Questions, Information: 3) The Big 3 Questions questionnaire to explore their worldview, and ours. 4) The OnePager goes deeper into How we know. (Choose the current jpg.)
Wilful? Challenge: "Leaning toward or away from God? Does that concern you?” 5) Good Person test.
Emotional? Prayer, Care, Share… back to the 1) HPOWER-BOP.
Similarly: ACORN -
Ask (pray daily, LORD, is there someone YOU want me to connect with outside the church?)
Call (listen for God's call back, He’ll bring someone to mind or across your path.)
Obey (ask Hi, How are you? ...really? Consider what is their obstacle between them & Jesus. THEN share how Jesus helped you overcome yours.)
Report (to your accountability friends - weekly. Because these companions will help you actually obey, not just forget.)
Notice (what God is doing in you too)

God & the Bible?
chapter 1 of the Creation Answers Book is brilliantly concise, and also includes why we trust the BIBLE.
What do we mean by God, how do we know he exists, what difference does he make. All the points withstand armchair criticism.
Creation Timing?
The search bar at creation.com is the place to go for any topics about interpretations of scientific and biblical observations. (NB: When reading science or the Bible, separate actual observations from interpretations. Then choose the interpretation that fits all the relevant observations.) Notes for a talk on this.
