An ordained Baptist minister, Geoff served churches in South Perth and Craigie in the '80s & '90s, then specialized in outreach with OAC Ministries at schools, church-based events, and adventure camps, into the '2020s. Now as Biblical Foundations Coordinator for Worldview Australia, he continues the outreach work with teams of volunteers.
Meanwhile in 2003 he & Sally started Cheers Neighbours Network, a suburban volunteer outreach in Perth's north, while raising four (now adult) children on a small bush-block with a menagerie of chickens, parrots, dogs, and a cat.
Geoff teaches about Jesus: what we know, how we know, and why it matters, from first-hand experience, science, history, archaeology, & seeing how different believers live out the same Biblical faith. He speaks in ways most Aussies appreciate, and has seen many come to trust Jesus for themselves. “Jesus has more for us than we can imagine, so I try to introduce people to Him.”
The Good News is not new but often comes as news to many. Perhaps they never heard it, forgot it, or misunderstood it. Geoff works to present it by: Shaping presentations to match different contexts, with props, stories, multi-media, straight talk, games, art, Q&A…
Series of presentations, giving enough input for an informed decision, at camps, or over a week or weekend;
Showing it in his own life, home and neighbourhood. His Core Stuff material which grounds faith in evidences is popular for camps, series and intensives. Other projects keep moving people closer to Jesus & toward others on mission.
