Geoff talks about Jesus: what we know, how we know, and why it matters. He speaks in ways most Aussies appreciate, and has seen many come to trust Jesus. “People need Jesus, He has more for us than we can imagine, so I just try to introduce Him.”
As an Outreach Specialist with OAC Ministries WA, Geoff presents at schools, camps, homes, churches and all-age groups. He draws on his study of the histories, visits on locations, first-hand experiences, and different ways people live out this same faith. His Core Stuff presentations ground faith in evidences, and are popular for camps, series and intensives. Others, such as Worldview Australia, and Cheers Neighbours' Network, keep people moving closer.
Geoff began researching the foundations of Christianity as a teen, leading to a passion to follow Jesus in Person. He moved from Melbourne to Port Hedland to Perth, through labouring, truck driving & diesel fitting, to an honours degree in theology and ordained Baptist ministry in WA. Having served churches in South Perth and Craigie, he joined para-church organisation OAC Ministries in 1997. Geoff & Sally raised four children born between 2000 & 2004, and they live on Perth's suburban fringe on a small bush block, with a menagerie of chickens, parrots, dogs, and a cat. “We have lots of people in our lives so we're very rich indeed.”
The Good News is not new but often comes as news to many. Perhaps it was forgotten, misunderstood, or never heard. So Geoff works to present it as well as possible:
- Series of presentations, giving enough input for an informed decision, at camps, or over a week or weekend
- Showing it in his own life, home and neighbourhood
- Shaping presentations to match different contexts, with props, stories, multi-media, straight talk, games, art, Q&A...
